I wish I could tell you…

I wish I could tell you,
How you don’t need him to make you complete.
How dating him now,
Will only make your life complicated,
And you don’t need that.
I wish I could tell you,
That these teen-aged years,
Are complicated enough,
Without boy,
After boy,
After boy.
I’ve seen it a few times before,
I’ve seen how a girl,
My friend,
Wraps her life up,
Her identity becomes,
Entwined with his.
And he decided he was done,
And it left her,
Crying on my shoulder.
Then the next thing I knew,
There was another one,
And I tried to tell her,
It’d only happen again.
But she wouldn’t listen.
And I don’t know if you’ll see this post,
And I’d feel somewhat strange pointing it out,
But will you listen?
He’s not worth it.

Hello everyone! I was at a Winter Retreat last week, and that’s why that post was really late. This one, I have less of an excuse. Saturday got really busy, and yesterday, I had church, and I was completely exhausted. Hope you enjoyed this, and see you next month! 🙂
